Today is "Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day," which is part of National Engineers Week, February 18-24, 2024. To celebrate, we’re sharing a short video that features civil engineering intern Avery Mulholland. Listen as Avery describes her hands-on experience working in and out of the office, the mentorship she received from colleagues, and the positive working environment at Widseth. Working alongside fellow interns, civil engineers, surveyors, and architects has helped Avery get a sense of what it means to pursue a career in civil engineering.
“If you’re looking for a field that provides opportunities to learn new things every day and see your work in front of you, civil engineering is a great choice!" said Avery. "Find mentors that want you to succeed and enjoy the mix of work in the office and out in the field.”
