This might surprise you, but our survey crews work year round. Winter is actually a great time for surveying, especially in heavily forested areas. The bugs are gone and leaves are down, which opens up the canopy for GPS signals. This allows our equipment to operate at peak performance. Our side-by-side UTV can drive just about anywhere, so remote areas are not a problem. Plus, in the winter it's easier to access areas that might be too wet in the summer. We’ll even throw on some snowshoes when necessary.
