Want to test how roadway or infrastructure redesign will work without all the construction costs? Try a demonstration project. Tim Schoonhoven, Widseth’s Alexandria office manager and City of Alexandria Engineer, is presenting the process and results of demonstration projects for community roadways and pedestrian safety at the City Engineers Association of Minnesota (CEAM) 2023 Annual Conference. He will showcase examples from the City of Alexandria including temporary roundabouts or calming islands, bike lanes, and crosswalks that were all tested, analyzed, and surveyed for community safety and acceptance.
The conference will be held from Wednesday, January 25 – Friday, January 27 at the DoubleTree Hotel in Bloomington. Tim will speak on Wednesday, January 25 at 3:15 p.m.
