Lead Service Line Inventory Program Applications Accepted Now

Written by Gail Leverson, MBA, EDFP - Senior Funding Specialist | Jun 23, 2023 7:00:25 PM

Public Water Systems (PWS) can now apply for technical assistance in preparing their lead service line inventories. The Minnesota Department of Health’s (MDH) deadline for applications is July 20, 2023, by 4:30 p.m. Applications must be completed by a staff member or elected official of the PWS. Some of the data you will be asked to provide includes number of connections, ownership, Lead Exceedance Notifications, etc.

For additional details and a link to the online application, visit the MDH website.

Widseth has a Master Contract with MDH. We can help you with the following categories:

  • Records review for inventory development
  • Visual inspection for inventory development
  • Development of a lead service line (LSL) replacement plan or assistance with the Drinking Water Revolving Fund LSL replacement funding application

While PWS may apply for only one category of assistance in this round, the MDH is planning future application periods. One application will be allowed per period.

Be sure to let MDH know you’d like to work with Widseth by selecting “Yes” for Question 8 and choosing “Widseth” as your consulting engineering firm for Question 9.
