The Safe Routes to School (SRTS) Program was started to enable children to walk and bicycle to school in a safe environment and to encourage them to make active and healthy lifestyle choices from an early age. Design Assistance Grant (NEW!)MnDOT, in response to feedback from rural communities citing engineering costs as a hurdle for infrastructure projects, has launched a new program. The Design Assistant Grant provides funding for engineering studies that can then be used for infrastructure grants.
