Minot Area Realizing Benefits of Central Power's 2019 Line Updates

Written by Allan Page, PE, VP - Civil Engineer | Jul 7, 2022 6:27:34 PM

Widseth worked closely with Central Power to create a new stretch of powerlines on the western and northern edges of Minot in 2019. The goal was to create a more dependable power source. As a result of the project, Verendrye Electric Cooperative now distributes more reliable power through its distribution substations in the Minot area. This means the Minot Air Force Base, businesses, and residents experience less blink outages and fewer long-term outages. To learn more about the project, watch the video we produced with Central Power's Chief Transmission Engineer Ryan Callahan and Real Estate Administrator Eric Popinga.
