The employee satisfaction-driven “50 Best Places to Work” list has welcomed Widseth to its ranks for the third year in a row. Now in its seventh year, the annual competition is sponsored by Prairie Business Magazine.
Through a competitive nomination process, Prairie Business Magazine recognizes the top 50 places to work in their coverage area—North Dakota, South Dakota, and western Minnesota. Nominations are made by employees, which ensures that it is their perspective being considered for an employer’s worthiness of this honor.
Widseth’s employees organized a concerted response to this year’s call for nominations in recognition of initiatives the firm has been pursuing, such as the firm’s continued growth into new markets (Wyoming and Mankato), a completely restructured strategic planning effort that includes getting input from non-owner employees, and coming out of the COVID-19 pandemic poised for a strong fiscal year.
Nominations were judged on employees’ responses to three questions:
According to a Prairie Business news release, more than 1,500 nominations were received. The release quoted editor Andrew Weeks as saying, “It’s a sampling that shows people are excited about their jobs and the companies that provide them. That’s good news not only for the businesses that have been nominated, but it’s great news for all of the region’s residents, consumers, and managers alike.”
Widseth is proud to be among such good company.
