Widseth is excited to sponsor The Escape by Jefferson Davis, part of the 2022 CityArt walking sculpture tour in the City Center of Mankato and North Mankato. Davis’ leaping steel fish embodies our independent spirit, Minnesota roots, commitment to protecting and enhancing Minnesota’s natural resources, and our employees’ appreciation for outdoor recreation and activities.
Eric Lennartson, a Marketing Specialist in Widseth’s Mankato office, is a member of the CityArt committee that select the sculptures as well as install and deinstall the sculptures each spring. The committee also supports multiple other arts events and community engagement activities throughout the year. With support from CityArt and CityCenter Partnership funds, Lennartson designed two temporary parklet installations to help prototype and encourage placemaking spaces within the City Center of Mankato and North Mankato.
