The members of the Minnesota Geospatial Advisory Council's 3D Geomatics Committee (3DGeo) Data Acquisition Workgroup—which includes Widseth’s Mark Reineke—received the Outstanding Team Achievement in Lidar award for their work in establishing a statewide lidar collect that is available to the public. The award, presented during 2022 Geo Week recognizes the group’s efforts to identify and promote the need for planning, funding, acquisition, and management of three-dimensional geomatic data and derived products.
Geo Week Awards are recognized by a partnership between LIDAR Magazine, Lidar News, and ASPRS (American Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing) to honor the achievements of individuals and teams working in the geospatial technology industry.
Mark Reineke, CMS, GISP, represents the private sector of the 3DGeo Steering Committee and is active on the 3DGeo Data Acquisition Workgroup. He and Widseth support obtaining a high-density, statewide lidar collect for Minnesota. As Widseth’s GIS Manager, Reineke coordinates projects across the firm’s nine locations in Minnesota and North Dakota.
