The Andria Theatre in downtown Alexandria is lighting up Broadway with a new marquee! After five years of fundraising efforts, the project is coming to fruition. The new electronic marquee resembles signage that hung above the theatre entrance many years ago. The theatre, a piece of Alexandria history, opened its doors in 1936. The theatre has been transformed many times since then and now serves the community with live theatre productions.
Widseth architect Greg Bohl designed the marquee after thoughtful consideration and much collaboration with the Andria staff and community members. The new marquee should be completed by early summer.
