NAME OF THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDING THE GRANT:
- The North Dakota Department of Commerce
SHORT DESCRIPTION:
- The Economic Resiliency Grant is available to private companies operating in North Dakota for costs associated with improvements to their businesses for the purpose of reducing the spread of COVID-19 infection and instilling consumer confidence in the marketplace.
WHO’S ELIGIBLE:
- Private North Dakota businesses
WHAT IT’S FOR:
- Building re-design to reduce the spread of COVID-19 infection
- Investments that reduce repetitive touch, such as:
- Touchless payment systems or document signing systems
- Automatic faucets, toilets and door kicks
- Technology to manage take-out, or drive-through orders
- Improvements that create distance between customers or customers and employees, such as:
- Expanded outdoor dining
- Partitions between workers who cannot be socially distanced
- Purchases of items that directly control infection, such as:
- PPE
- UV sanitizers
- Temperature checking equipment
TYPE OF FUNDING:
- This funding assistance is provided through a grant. Grants will be awarded up to $50,000 per eligible business; or up to $100,000 per eligible business with multiple locations.
- Businesses can apply to get reimbursed for eligible work completed after March 27th.
- If awarded the grant, businesses have 45 days to complete the work.
APPLICATION PROCESS AND DEADLINE:
- Three application rounds or until the money runs out.
- The application rounds will occur on the following dates:
- Round 1
- Applications portal opens soon—date to be announced
- Deadline August 17, 2020
- Round 2
- Application Opens September 14, 2020
- Deadline September 25, 2020
- Round 3 – dates to be announced if applicable
