As the City of Nisswa’s wastewater treatment facility was reaching its capacity, new residential developments were in the planning stages or under construction. Expanded and updated facilities were needed to support the flourishing community’s growth. Widseth’s funding specialist helped secure PFA funding while the firm’s engineers assisted with MPCA permitting and designed the new system, which includes a new secondary cell with aeration building, new vertical turbine pumps and controls, and an expanded irrigation area.
