The 2022 road improvements project in Thief River Falls recently won a merit award from the Minnesota Department of Transportation and Minnesota Asphalt Pavement Association. Widseth civil engineer and Crookston office manger Rich Clauson, PE, VP, is pictured above with the award plaque. The project included improvements to multiple roads on the northwest side of the city and was recognized for outstanding performance in bituminous surfacing. The project won best in class in the County/Municipal (Rural State Aid) – New or Reconstruct category. Widseth provided civil engineering services and Agassiz Asphalt, LLC constructed the project.
